1. What are the formats in which the Gazette is published?
The Gazette is published electronically and in print.
From Sep 1998 to Sep 2024, the Gazette was published electronically on www.egazette.com.sg.
From 20 Sep 2024, the Gazette is published electronically on this website.
2. Who publishes the Gazette?
The Government Printer is responsible for publishing the Gazette electronically and in print.
3. Who is the Government Printer?

4. Is this website a complete repository of everything published in the Gazette?
Gazettes published before Sep 1998 are available in print and copies are available in the Lee Kong Chian Reference Library. Copies may be searched using the NLB catalogue. Older Gazettes published before 1970 may also be found on https://www.nlb.gov.sg/main/nlonline.
5. What goes into the sub-categories under the main Gazette, e.g. “Advertisements”?
The Government Printer assigns a sub-category to each Gazette notification based on the title of the notification. This is done on a best-efforts basis.
If you are performing a search, you may wish to search the entire Gazette instead of a specific sub-category.
6. Are the supplements part of the Gazette?
Yes, the various supplements to the Gazette are part of the Gazette.
7. What is the date of publication reflected in the search/browse results?
This is the date on which the Gazette is published electronically.
8. Is the Gazette first published in print or electronically?
The Government Printer publishes a Gazette electronically before publishing it in print.
9. Which is the authoritative version of the Gazette?
Before 9 March 2025, only copies of the Gazette printed by the Government Printer are regarded as prima facie evidence of their contents. These printed copies prevail over all other forms of the Gazette if there is any inconsistency.

10. How do I get a hardcopy of a particular Gazette?
You may print copies of Gazettes directly from this website.
However, for a print copy of a Gazette to constitute prima facie evidence of its contents under section 48 of the Interpretation Act 1965, the printing must be done by the Government Printer.
If you require copies of a Gazette printed by the Government Printer, please send your request to the Government Printer at legalpub@toppannext.com. Certain copies may be available for purchase at the Government Printer’s legal resource centre at 1 Kim Seng Promenade #18-01 Great World City East Lobby Singapore 237994.
11. Can private individuals or entities place a notice in the Gazette?
Private individuals or entities may place notices in the Gazette only if required or permitted by legislation. A publication request should be sent to the Government Printer at legalpub@toppannext.com.
12. Is it possible for a Gazette to be amended or removed?
The Gazette is an official public record. To ensure the integrity and reliability of the Gazette, a Gazette cannot be removed or amended after publication.
Errors in a Gazette notification are corrected by way of a separate corrigendum, also published in the Gazette. The agency or person responsible for the contents of the erroneous Gazette notification is also responsible for the corrigendum.
13. Where can I view consolidations of legislation?
Consolidations of Singapore legislation may be viewed at Singapore Statutes Online.
